Voel jij je de laatste tijd ook een beetje nerveus? Bony Macaroni in ieder geval wel. De band maakt emo-pop over de chaotische rollercoaster die het leven soms is, met een mix van melancholie, humor en een flinke dosis zelfspot. Na het lovend ontvangen debuutalbum The Big Bucks zijn ze terug met Death Drive, een plaat die de onzekerheden van het twintigerbestaan in de jaren ’20 onder de loep neemt. Gelukkig zonder dat het nooit te zwaar wordt, want Bony Macaroni weet zelfs de donkerste thema’s te verpakken in nummers die je direct wilt meezingen.
Stink-182 brengt vervolgens een energieke ode aan Blink-182, met alle herkenbare riffs, meebrulmomenten en die typische poppunkenergie waar je spontaan weer zin van krijgt om je skateboard uit de schuur te halen.
De avond wordt geopend door VIEK. Toen frontman Davic hoorde dat zijn bandleden wilden stoppen, was de keuze snel gemaakt: solo verder. Met VIEK brengt hij strak geproduceerde, energieke powerpop waarin melodie altijd centraal staat. The band makes emo-pop about the chaotic rollercoaster that life sometimes is, with a mix of melancholy, humor, and a healthy dose of self-mockery.
