Void of Metal en Metal Flamingo bundelen de krachten en brengen vier energieke metal- en hardcorebands samen, waarbij Loyalty Ends Here, Salvage, Arteria en IIVORY met hun mix van brute riffs, melodie en intense liveshows zorgen voor een avond vol kracht en nieuwe sounds uit de scene.

Op vrijdag 12 juni staat De Meester in het teken van Void of Metal, een avond waarop vier bands laten horen hoe levendig en veelzijdig de huidige metal- en hardcorescene is. Verwacht een programma dat laveert tussen melodie en brute kracht, met acts die ieder op hun eigen manier bouwen aan een intens livegeluid. Deze editie brengt een mix van jonge bands en doorgewinterde muzikanten samen, met sets die zowel meeslepend als compromisloos zijn.

Loyalty Ends Here grijpt terug naar de melodische metalcore van begin jaren nul en geeft daar een persoonlijke draai aan. Hun muziek wordt gedragen door krachtige vocalen, strakke riffs en een ritmesectie die voortdurend vooruitduwt. Tekstueel duiken ze in thema’s als vertrouwen, loyaliteit en verraad, waardoor hun nummers een emotionele lading krijgen die live nog sterker binnenkomt. Na hun overwinning tijdens de nationale Metal Battle in 2023 groeide hun naam snel binnen de Nederlandse metalscene.

Salvage beweegt zich op het snijvlak van hardcore en metalcore en staat bekend om hun dynamische opbouw. In hun nummers wisselen subtiele, melodieuze passages en dreigende spanningsbogen elkaar af, om vervolgens te ontladen in zware breakdowns en rauwe energie. De band put uit een breed palet aan invloeden binnen het hardcore- en metalspectrum, wat zorgt voor een gelaagd en herkenbaar geluid. Op het podium vertaalt zich dat naar een intense liveshow die constant in beweging blijft.

Arteria ontstond eind 2024 uit een gedeelde drang om compromisloze metal te maken die direct raakt. De band combineert brute kracht met melodische diepgang en laat zich inspireren door namen als Gojira, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage en The Black Dahlia Murder. Hun sound voelt als een sonische storm die continu pulseert, met strakke riffs, zware grooves en momenten van meeslepende melodie. Met ervaren muzikanten uit de scene brengen ze een ongefilterde intensiteit naar het podium, waarbij agressie en emotie naadloos samenvloeien.

IIVORY is een jonge metalcoreband uit Almere die sinds hun oprichting in 2025 snel aan bekendheid wint. Hun muziek mengt agressieve riffs en stevige grooves met atmosferische, bijna filmische klanklandschappen. Invloeden van onder meer Asking Alexandria, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth en Bullet For My Valentine zijn hoorbaar, maar de band zoekt nadrukkelijk naar een eigen geluid. Tijdens hun eerste shows wisten ze al een enthousiast publiek aan zich te binden en momenteel werken ze aan hun debuut-EP, waarmee ze hun visie op moderne metalcore verder vormgeven.

Loyalty Ends Here harks back to the melodic metalcore of the early 2000s and gives it a personal twist. Their music is driven by powerful vocals, tight riffs, and a rhythm section that constantly pushes forward. Lyrically, they delve into themes such as trust, loyalty, and betrayal, giving their songs an emotional charge that resonates even more strongly live. After their victory at the national Metal Battle in 2023, their name grew rapidly within the Dutch metal scene.

Salvage operates at the intersection of hardcore and metalcore and is known for its dynamic structure. In their songs they switch from subtle, melodic passages to menacing tension arcs, only to discharge into heavy breakdowns and raw energy. The band draws from a wide range of influences within the hardcore and metal spectrum, resulting in a layered and recognizable sound. On stage, this translates into an intense live show that remains constantly in motion.

Arteria emerged in late 2024 from a shared urge to create uncompromising metal that hits hard. The band combines brute force with melodic depth and draws inspiration from names like Gojira, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, and The Black Dahlia Murder. Their sound feels like a continuously pulsating sonic storm, featuring tight riffs, heavy grooves, and moments of compelling melody. With experienced musicians from the scene, they bring an unfiltered intensity to the stage, where aggression and emotion seamlessly merge.

IIVORY is a young metalcore band from Almere that has been rapidly gaining recognition since their formation in 2025. Their music blends aggressive riffs and heavy grooves with atmospheric, almost cinematic soundscapes. Influences from bands such as Asking Alexandria, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth, and Bullet For My Valentine are audible, but the band is explicitly seeking its own unique sound. During their first shows, they already managed to captivate an enthusiastic audience, and they are currently working on their debut EP, through which they further shape their vision of modern metalcore.
